- Congratulations to Kristina Huffman - winner of the Jarrod Camper Smith Memorial Scholarship.

Kristina Huffman is nearing graduation as an honor student in the Legal Studies Academy at First Colonial High School. She is greatly involved with activities within her school, church, and community. She has participated in activities in the KGRLA since the age of 5 (including soccer, basketball, softball) but her main passion is for volleyball. She's been influenced by many great coaches including Margaret & Scott Anderson, Miles Pocta, Brian Huffman, Keith Alexander and Amber Wood. As a 2011 Future Teacher Award/Contract recipient, she will be studying education at Liberty University in the fall and returning to Virginia Beach City Public Schools to continue her impact on the area.

King's Grant/Lynnhaven Recreation Association (KGLRA) exists to provide opportunities for youths to play safe, wholesome, and enjoyable sports, regardless of race, creed, ethnic or economic backgrounds. By creating a fair and positive sporting experience that develops sportsmanship, respect, and friendly competition, KGLRA provides an outlet and hopefully a desire to stay away from negative aspects of life.
KGLRA works in conjuction with the Virginia Beach City Wide Athletic office to provide recreational sports opportunities for children in the Kings Grant Lynnhaven area. The League is adminstered by a Board of Directors.
